"Barossa shiraz", you say?..."can't go wrong", i say!...And this Laughing Jack is no exception. Vibrant in colour, with a dark core and crimson rim, the bouquet shimmers with red fruit: fresh damson and sweet cherry notes play against the faintest suggestion of dusty oak, blended with hints of nutmeg and allspice. The palate is quite full bodied with lots of black fruits and whisps of dark chocolate, while the structure allows for somewhat talcy tannins, giving the wine its silkiest mouthfeel. Enjoy this shiraz with a steak and baked potato or a roast lamb.
