Amberley Merlot

 

This Amberely red out of the Blackwood Valley region of Western Australia has a soft, velvety finish accentuated by the soft tannins this varietal is renowned for. With aromas of plum and strawberry, and underlying hints of chocolate, perennial herbs, spice and toasty oak notes, the palate is full of ripe cherries, raspberry jam and plum fruit flavours, backed up by earthy, spicy background notes, that complement the long smooth finish. Best enjoyed served with slow roasted pork belly.
