Tarra Warra Estate Pinot Noir

If you haven't yet tried this wine, then as Molly would say "do yourself a favour". This pinot deserves to be on your radar, especially given the price. The bouquet has a lovely perfume, reminiscent of raspberry, tree bark, sour cherries, plums, sap, cedar and toasted spice, while the palate is medium bodied with an earthiness, and more of those fruit flavours, balanced by supple tannins, a vibrant acidity and just a hint of spice, allowing for good depth of flavour. A smokiness can be detected through the mid-palate, making this an ideal wine for roast turkey dinners or mushroom risotto.
