Warburn Estate sources grapes from some of the best cool climate regions in South Eastern Australia, with this cabernet merlot blend expressing savoury spices, and fruit-driven flavours, well supported with french oak maturation. With aromas of blackberry, plum, spice, mint and gentle hints of toasted vanillin oak, the palate is full of rich ripe currant fruit with more underlying mint, cinnamon and vanillin oak. A balanced gentle tannic backbone gives this wine great length, allowing it to stand up to meat/tomato-based pasta dishes, or pot roast veal with red wine and mushrooms.
