Great value for money, this Y-series shiraz is just a youthful wine with loads to offer. The nose displays plenty of sweet dark cherry, liquorice, blood plum and spice, with intense youthful aromas of ripe dark berries, mulberry jam, dark chocolate and black pepper, while the palate is quite rich and dense, delivering layers of ripe blackberries and black forest cake, surrounded by soft, juicy, fully ripe tannins, with light earthy spice notes throughout. Drinks perfectly with a roasted shoulder of lamb seasoned with fresh herbs and garlic; or stuffed capsicums, well-seasoned with lots of middle eastern spices.
