A lovely medium bodied white, this Blue Pyrenees chardonnay is full of fruit, while integrating a complex, crisp and lightly oaked palate. The bouquet is full of fresh, lifted nectarine aromas, along with a toasty French oak complexity, while the palate extends those aromas with peach-like fruit and bakery yeast flavours featuring strongly, neatly interwoven with some of those less obvious cedary French oak nuances. The mid-palate blends these flavours with a refreshing mineral-like grapefruit finish, thus extending the length of flavour, and resulting in a crisp, dry style with lingering fruitiness. Try this wine with a prawn and crabmeat salad, or tuna tartare.
