De Bortoli Down The Lane Pinot Grigio Arneis

A wine crafted to capture the feel and soul of inner-city laneway culture, this unoaked wine is a blend of three Italian varietals: predominately pinot grigio, with a lesser amount of arneis rounded out with a small amount of vermentino. A very aromatic nose with light touches of pear, lime, cinnamon spice over slices of white nectarines, and hints of nougat and white frangipani, the palate is crisp and textural without being difficult or complex. Bosc pear is the overwhelming flavour on the mid-palate, while a mineral element, and some light salty/briny notes linger in the finish. Sautéed soft shell crabs, or any seafood await! And at a ridiculously low price...
