This wine from DeBortoli is an aromatic Bordeaux style white blend, perfect for that beach picnic or equally to be wholly enjoy as an aperatif. Full of tropical fruit overtones, the bouquet has hints of gooseberry, grapefruit, nettle and talc, while the palate is textural tasting of guava, with citrus and herbaceous overtones. The mid palate has a flinty, mineral texture, and more of those zesty lemon/lime fruit characters, that, with the tight acid backbone, makes for a soft, crisp finish. Try this wine with sautéed salmon served with a lemon caper butter sauce or fish and chips at the beach!
