Mount Pleasant Elizabeth Semillon

Think Hunter; think semillon! With floral aromas of green apple, blossoms, lemon and perhaps lanolin, this stalwart of McWilliam's can be enjoyed young and fresh, or admired and allowed to age gracefully. The palate ranges from those more herbaceous characters of tart lime juice, green pear, and crunchy green apples to tropical fruit flavours of passionfruit, with a nutty minerality on the finish. This crisp, zingy and refreshing wine has great length of flavour, making it perfect to be drunk with light shellfish dishes like Sydney rock oysters, sashimi or simple scallops in the shell. An aged semillon, on the other hand, would work well with richer foods such as lobster of smoked fish.

Please note this wine is only available up to half dozen lots, or in a mixed dozen.
