This Cape Mentelle white blend is beautifully balanced with complex lime, snow pea, pawpaw and restrained tropical fruit notes. The nose opens to complex fruits ranging from zesty white grapefruit to hints of lychees, lifted by ethereal floral notes of jasmine and passionflower. The palate is distinctively lemon and lime with subtle star anise, lemongrass and clove. Richness and weight are balanced with a fresh mineral acidity that lasts, and is well suited to the accompaniment of Crab cakes, or freshly shucked oysters with a squeeze of lime.
