This Bushmills green-labeled 10yo single malt Irish whisky is their entry-level attempt at rivalling all those single malts from the renowned highlands of Scotland. From the complex and aromatic nose, to the warm fruity palate, it’s wonderful whisky, and I can’t recommend it enough. Delightfully balance, and of medium body, the nose displays complex orchard fruits, dried strawberries, honey and a touch of copper, along with hints citrus and floral notes. The palate subtly exudes more flavours of honey with a touch of chocolate, as well as defined fruit charged with notes of malt, vanilla, and a light spice. With a finish that’s silky, clean, and short, it’s not meant to be mixed with anything!
