Brown Brothers Cienna
Cienna is an exciting grape variety bred by the CSIRO Plant Industry by crossing Sumoll, a grape variety from Spain, with Cabernet Sauvignon. And this offering by Brown Brothers, being low in alcohol 7.5% (alc/vol) is a versatile easy drinking, slightly sweet wine that’s light and refreshing. It boasts aromas of fresh red berries with a hint of spice, and a palate that has a fruity sweetness, finishing with a slight fizz. Try this wine with a spicy Chinese hot pot and enjoy how the sweetness of the wine eases the heat of chilli and spice. Cienna is also fantastic with crushed meringue and fresh mixed berries smothered in raspberry coulis. It is also ideal for making cocktails or a refreshingly chilled Sangria, and in winter it’s perfect for a delicious warming ‘Gluhwein’ or mulled wine.
Please note this wine is only available up to half dozen lots, or in a mixed dozen.
