A cleanskin cabernet merlot from south eastern Australia, that for a few bucks will definitely impress. Aromas of blackberry and strawberry give way to a medium bodied palate with loads more blackberry, plus additional flavours of cassis, and hints of oak and spice. The moderately tannic finish allows it to be a sound accompaniment for red meat dishes, and will stand up to those hardened cheeses around dessert time.
