This balanced red blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot from Fox Creek in The McLaren Vale, has aromas of ripe blackcurrants and liquorice hitting you from the glass followed by some vanillin cedar and spice. The palate is soft, rich, medium bodied with more blackcurrant, liquorice, and spice flavours. The well structured velvety tannins from the cabernet and fleshy, mid palate fruit form the merlot allow for a dryish finish with a medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar and spice. A perfect red meat BBQ wine.
