This 8YO Glenfarclas is gloriously smooth, yet with the depth and finish you would normally only expect of a much older dram. Of a vibrant straw colour, the nose releases sherry-sweet malty tones combining with a delicate smokiness, to entice subtle spices, which, along with furhter smokiness and sherry sweetness in the mouthfeel, provide hints of dried fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. The finish is long, smooth and spicy, with a delicious, yet delicate, lingering smokiness; a wonderfully sherried whisky, and an excellent aperitif.
