Swirling this wine in the glass, you're hit with a fragrant medley of gooseberries, fresh nettle and lemon zest, with a touch of banana and mulberry leaf. This Rosemount sauvignon blanc has a palate that's rich and flavoursome, with more of those lemon zest and tropical fruit flavours. Layers of grassy notes fill out the palate, intermingled with ripe passionfruit and lychee. A final hint of those mulberry leaves tie the wine together with a nice line of acid providing a clean, long finish. Stands up to seafood with south-east Asian influences such as lime, chilli and coriander: I'm thinkin' Thai fish cakes.
