This Storm Ridge pinot is on the more full-bodied side, making it the ideal wine for a Peking duck, or roast chicken. The bouquet displays a combination of intense raspberry, plum and blackberry fruit, with a hint of smoked bacon, while the palate is rich and full flavoured, exhibiting fleshy black cherry flavours married with stewed plums. The palate develops with more opulent black cherry/sweet spicy plum flavours, harmonised by subtle oak treatment, while the wine finishes long and silky with gentle fruit tannins.
