This is a cool climate sauvignon blanc by Black Chook out of the Adelaide Hills, full of grassy, herbaceous notes, and a little more austere than some other warmer climate varietals. With an intense nose of passionfruit, guava, grapefruit, and sweet melon, balanced with an underlying hint of citrus, the palate shows fresh tropical fruit flavours of grapefruit and passionfruit, before a fresh green acidity, melded with a little minerality on the finish, brings out all the generous flavour and length of fruit. This wine will work really well with fresh shucked oysters with a little lime juice, or mildly-spiced Asian dishes.
