This is seriously a great $16 red wine!!! Deep red in colour, and intense in flavour of dark berry fruits, This Black Chook red is a blend of shiraz grapes grown in both The McLaren Vale and Padthaway wine growing regions. The bouquet is loaded with plum and aniseed notes, surrounding toasty oak and earthy nuances, while the palate is balanced by fine, supple tannins and lingering spice notes, with more of those aniseed and liquorice flavours coming to the fore. This wine has a medium dry, lingering finish, and is the perfect accompaniment for Sunday's Roast.
