This Whitebox Yarra Valley pinot noir is deep scarlet in colour, with a purple hue, and is made to be enjoyed now!...With aromas of cherry and plum leaping out of the glass, laced with hints of earthy mushroom around some spicy oak nuances, the palate is long and balanced, where the cherry and plum characters carry through to some fine and persistent tannins, that underpin the lingering finish. Because of the tannic structure of this wine, it would stand up well to duck and other game birds, casseroles or, of course, stews like beef Bourguignon.
