Hailing from The Adelaide Hills, this cool climate chardonnay from the folks at Wirra Wirra, is an elegant yet intense wine, crafted using 100 per cent wild yeast and fermented in the finest french oak. The bouquet exudes fresh white peach and nectarine aromatics, complemented by notes of brioche and lemon curd. Just a hint of freshly roasted nuts and a little flintiness alongside some biscuity, charry oak character add to the aromatic complexity, which blends seamlessly with the fruit-driven palate. Bright nectarine and freshly squeezed lemons run the length of the palate, and those primary fruit are supported by toasty cedar and cinnamon, with a lovely fine, diacetylish, creamy texture, due to the time on barrel lees.
