This chardonnay has some of those toasty qualities that are just so lovely in this varietal. With fresh aromas of stone fruit and melon enhanced with some toasty charry oak, and a slight nutty complexity, the medium-bodied palate is generous and soft with lashings of peach, quince and citrus balanced by vanillin oak and a creaminess due to malolactic fermentation and lees maturation. This versatile wine will match well with dishes such as grilled veal chop and roasted winter vegetables, a cream based pasta, or char-grilled chicken.
