This Jacob's Creek Reserve chardonnay can be considered a modern, cool climate expression of this varietal, with great balance and length, meaning it has less oak and more fruit-driven qualities. The wine exhibits delicious flavours of white peach and lemon zest, which is then enhanced by oak fermentation qualities within the juice, to bring out hints of toasted cashew and a creamy mouthfeel. The bouquet melds aromas of lemon and green apple with toasty nuances, while the palate extends those fruit qualities to a soft finish, making this wine the ideal accompaniment for creamy pasta dishes, or roasted chicken.
