Abbey Cellars was born back in early 1985, when our father, David took over a fledgling tattslotto business with a bottle shop attached. He saw the potential to build up the liquor side of the business to what it is today, with an emphasis on local Victorian vineyards, and it is the desire of two of his children, Carey and Rohan, to take that mantle by servicing the bayside locals with novel wine and beer at competitive prices. And now we have the website to do just that.

David has been a retail man all his life, and knows where to find good deals to pass on to you. He has been dedicated to sourcing new wine varietals and beers to go with your every occasion, and now that knowledge has been passed on to the next generation for your benefit.

Carey has also spent her working life in retail, firstly in fashion, and now with her liking and understanding of wines, working along side her father. She has a sound knowledge of food cuisines, being very accomplished in the kitchen, so is confident in answering all your questions relating to food and wine, while Rohan comes to the industry from a hospitality background, and has also been schooled in the process of both viticulture and oenology.

Together we have a team that can offer you a novel wine at a competitive price for any event or cosy meal, and will even give you the tools to discuss how and why your taste buds are doing somersaults the way they might.

And then there’s Lucy, who will not be able to help you with your selection, or advise you about where the latest trends are stemming from, but she will let you know when she wants some pampering or needs to be fed, and she sure does make the whole experience with us just that little bit more welcoming; she’s our resident blue-russian cat.

Albert Park has always had that quaint village feel, even though over the years we have seen many changes. We will always have the beach, and along with that friendly neighborhood feel, where parking is very rarely a problem, we hope we will soon serve you either on your way through to somewhere else, or through our online services.
