De Bortoli Down The Lane Rose Gris De Gris
Made from mostly pinot grigio, blended with a small amount of pinot noir, this paler than pale gris de gris rose has heaps going for it at such a great price. Textural, perfumed, dry and more-ish, aromas of buttery brioche, ripe pears, red apples, and turkish delight laced with honeysuckle and musk fill the glass, rounded out by hints of spicy quince. Soft and round in the mouth, the subtle and delicate palate of light strawberry, rose petal, and generous ripe pears has a slight metallic tang, that finishes dry with a good vibrancy. An aftertaste of pears, quince and spice make this the perfect wine for fish tacos.
