Being from the Yarra Valley, which is classified as a cool climate region, this Sticks pinot is quite a light red wine. With aromas of dark cherry, raspberries, plum, beetroot, vanilla and cinnamon, the palate is full of flavours of rhubarb, plum, wild cherries, and nutmeg, enhanced by time in French oak barrels, adding a warm hint of toast to the mix. With a marked earthiness, and an excellent hit of tannin in the mid palate, this pinot would work well with game meats, pasta, salmon or chicken.
