With a rating of 85 from the big man Halliday, this is a serious 2018 shiraz by any standard put out by The Olsen Winery in the Yarra Valley. With a dark purple hue, aromas of ripe berry fruits, plum, and blackberry fill the glass, whilst the medium-full bodied palate is full of concentrated fruit, with lots of creamy chocolate oak, and soft tannins. A grilled steak or hearty beef stew would suffice.
