This Burnt Souls shiraz is 'classic' McLaren Vale with a profound depth of flavour over chocolate velvet tannins. The nose is full of those blackberry and mulberry notes backed up by some liquorice, cinnamon and coffee, with a hint of pepper at the end.  The tannic structure gives the palate great length, exuding dark chocolate and spice, with more of those dark fruits and plum flavours. Just a really lovely red, to be opened an hour beforehand and served alongside lamb, duck or a ripe, piquant cheese.
